Welcome!
Pursuing a career in the field of Art has been a goal of mine since I was a child. I have always had a passion for Art, however it wasn't until high school that I figured out exactly what I wanted to do with my artistic abilities. For my high school co-operative education class I spent over 200 hours working with art students and students with exceptionalities in a local middle school. It was this experience that made me realize that sharing my knowledge, skills and passion for art brought me as much joy as creating it. So, it became my new goal to become a teacher so that I could not only share my passion, but also perhaps help students find theirs.
Although my first teachable is Art, my interests spread far beyond a single subject. I am qualified to teach mathematics, I am an outdoors enthusiast, an animal lover, a sister, a movie buff, an angler, an avid reader, a dancer (when no one is looking), and a lover of country music. But most importantly I am, and always will be, a student; taking in as much as I can, not only to expand my own knowledge, but so that I can share what I have learned with others. I strongly believe that the more we know, the better prepared we are for any challenges that life might throw at us, increasing our chances of success.
I look forward to working with students in the region, as they expand their knowledge of the arts, refine their artistic techniques and skills, and create impressive works that exhibit students full potential.
